Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná - A former Brazilian kayaking champion, Massimo Desiati has been running adventure tours in Brazil since the early 1990s. His company Cânion Iguaçu holds the first and still only concession for adventure tourism inside a protected area in Brazil at Iguassu National Park. His company offers rock climbing and rappelling in full view of the famous Iguassu Falls, white water rafting on the Iguassu River, and a tree-top obstacle course nearby. Desiati is also the technical director of the Brazilian Adventure Tourism Trade Association, which is working with the federal government to improve safety standards and implement a certification scheme for operators.

Here’s Massimo’s short list of tips for visitors to the city of Foz do Iguaçu.
