Another from our BrazilMax reader e-mailbox...
BrazilMax Reader Do you know places to play tennis and basketball in Rio? I am very keen, although do not play them simultaneously.
Our answer:
Basketball
The only truly open pick-up basketball games in Rio de Janeiro are in the Aterro do Flamengo. Daily and, under the lights, nightly.
Tennis
In Lagoa, across from the Clube Monte Libano. R$25 an hour, balls and racquets included.
Hotel Sheraton in Leblon, R$80 an hour
Inter-Continental Hotel in São Conrado Av. Prefeito Mendes de Morais 222 Rio de Janeiro, 22610 Telephone: 3323-2200
