The Planeta website offers a week-long seminar to help participants become more familiar with Planeta.com and more communications-savvy in developing or improving their own websites and web presence.
The Monday-Friday seminar is conducted via email in asynchronous time. Real-time chats can be arranged via Yahoo or MSN Messenger or Internet phone calls via Skype.
This seminar is aimed at three primary audiences: local eco-travel operators and policy officials; leaders from development agencies, NGOs and financial institutions; and media professionals (particularly editors and journalists). Mastering the Web is taught by Ron Mader, host of the award-winning Planeta website and is the Latin America correspondent for Transitions Abroad.
Participants need to have 1-2 hours PER DAY to make effective use of the training. Cost: Participation fees are based on a sliding scale beginning at US$250 for one or two participants or US$100 per person for small groups (five or six max). For more information, click here.
