Braulio Tavares is the author of 12 books (including novels, short stories, essays, humor and poetry), over 40 songs (interpreted by performers like Lenine, Elba Ramalho, Dionne Warwick, MPB-4, Ney Matogrosso, Tim Maia), and a half-dozen plays (including “Brincante” and “Segundas Histórias,” co-authored with Antonio Nóbrega). He contributes to dozens of newspapers and magazines in Brazil and abroad. Most recently in English he published a short story in “Cosmos Latinos: An Anthology of Science Fiction from Latin America and Spain,” edited by Andrea L. Bell and Yolanda Molina-Gavilán (Wesley University Press, 2003).
