If Brazil is your business, BrazilMax is your vehicle. We focus on Brazilian culture and what we call roots tourism – eco, cultural, historical, rural, adventure, mature and business. Think of BrazilMax as a cross between an online travel guidebook and niche magazine. Our readers come to us for tips and information as they plan their travels in Latin America’s largest country. They come to us to help decide which Brazil-related guidebooks, books and CDs to buy. We are not a travel agency, tour packager, or tour operator. We produce editorial content about Brazil that attracts readers.
In October 2003, BrazilMax received 28,216 unique viewers and amassed 469,997 document hits. We rank among the 100,000 most visited websites in the world, according to Alexa, the Internet's rating service. On January 8, 2004, our three-month Alexa ranking was 64,558. BrazilMax’s creator, publisher and editor is Bill Hinchberger. A native Californian, Bill has been working as a journalist in Brazil since 1986. He served as correspondent for The Financial Times, Business Week. He now contributes to publications like ARTnews, Metropolis, National Wildlife and Science. Unless otherwise stated, all prices are in US dollars. Payment can be made by credit card via Pay Pal or by check in US dollars drawn on a US bank. For payments in other currencies, including Brazilian reals, contact us.
Homepage Banner
The top banner on the BrazilMax homepage is $100 a month or $1,000 a year.
Section Sponsorships
Top banner ads on destination section pages (e.g. Amazon), theme section pages (e.g. Art, Culture and Music) or e-commerce section pages (e.g. Editorial Services) are $50 a month or $500 a year.
Listings
A listing includes a brief headline and text with a link to an exclusive page dedicated to the product or service in question. Click here to see an example of such a listing.

Brazil Stuff - for Brazil-related goods and services
Learn Brazilian – for language and educational programs
Indie Film and Music Project - for independent CDs, videos and films

An ordinary listing is $10 a month or $100 a year. Businesses that want to ensure top placement can do so at $20 a month or $200 a year.
Independent Brazilian recording artists, small recording companies, video makers and filmmakers can list their products for R$5 (five reals) a month or R$60 (sixty reals) a year on our Indie listings page.

Classified advertisements of up to 50 words can be placed on the BrazilMax e-newsletter for $5.

Let’s Make a Deal
We are not a travel agency or online mall. We prefer to spend our time creating top-notch editorial content rather than tracking down commissions or overseeing fee-based deals. However, we understand that fledgling or struggling small businesses may need extra flexibility. If you want to make a partnership proposal, go ahead.
